With the evolution of mobile technology, it is expected for games to evolve as well, especially simulation games. Grand Truck Simulator is a great example.
First of all, the game features realistic physics. Acceleration, top speed, braking, steering, suspension, cabin movement… Everything in the physics compartment is quite real. The behavior of trailers is also quite realistic. Regarding the trailers, you have different types:2 axle, 3 axle fixed. 2 axle fixed + 1 axle pneumatic and bitterns. Some trailers also feature a liftable 3rd axle. To hook up the trailers, you need to align your truck with the trailer. The trailer legs are also animated, which is not featured even in some of the best-looking truck simulators.
But be careful while you are driving. Even though the game features really good brakes, which brake only slightly while driving in a straight line and apply full pressure to the wheels if there is something in front of the truck, the crash physics are quite real. If you hit something, the truck will deform. And, in extreme cases, the windshield will break into pieces.
Also, one of the best things with this game is modding! Not a lot of mobile games today support modding. You can edit the skins of truck and trailers on your PC and then export it to the game. That really is something.
So, by now, you might be wondering, what truck will be featured in the game? Well, the game features the new Mercedes-Benz Actros (although the name of the truck in the game is MercedeZ-Benz actros). The game also features Scania trucks (named in the game “Scavia”), and many, many more.
The gameplay is also quite good. At the very beginning of the game, you are given a small amount of money, just so enough you can buy yourself a truck. As you progress, you will earn more money, so you can buy better trucks and even hire workers! But be careful with the throttle! The game features realistic fuel consumption and older truck use more fuel.
Other features are multiple camera angles, including a cabin camera and more. Other stuff like low beams, high beams, cruise control… Also, realistic solar system, which promises some nice views. Every truck has it’s own distinct sound.
In the future, expect to see multiplayer.
